Golden butter biscuits

Ingredients

  • 250 g butter room temperature
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • 500 g sieved flour
  • To decorate:
  • Sieved sugar
  • 1 egg white
  • 200gr powdered sugar
  • 3 drops of lemon
  • Food colouring

Method

  1. In a bowl, add the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and egg and mix well. Add the flour bit by bit and without working the dough too much so it doesn´t become hard, make a ball and wrapped in cling film leave in the fridge for around 30 minutes.
  2. Stretch the dough to 5 mm and cut into the desired shape. Put the shapes on the baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven at 180º C for between 15 and 20 minutes.
  3. To decorate: Beat the egg white until stiff peaks form and slowly add the sugar. Add the lemon drops and mix until its volume doubles. Add the desired colorant and decorate with the help of a Decopen.
