Tortas de Anís

Ingredients

  • 240 g of flour
  • 36 g of sugar
  • 60 ml of beer
  • 25 ml of anise brandy
  • 6 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt
  • Sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of anise seeds for topping

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix: oil, beer, anise brandy and a pinch of salt.
  2. Gradually add the flour, stirring constantly.
  3. To finish, knead the mixture by hand until the flour is fully blended to form dough.
  4. Divide the dough into six 60 g portions.
  5. Spread a portion in the SpanishOmelette, covering the entire surface evenly. Sprinkle with anise seeds, sesame and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Close and microwave for 1 minute at 800 W.
  6. Turn the container over, open and sprinkle again with anise seeds, sesame seeds and 1 teaspoon of sugar.
  7. Close and microwave for 1 additional minute. Allow to cool and serve.
  8. Repeat process for the other 6 portions.
  9. Comments: For a sweeter cake, sprinkle more sugar. You can substitute anise seeds with sesame seeds or simply nothing at all.
