Chocolate plum cake with strawberries

Learn how to prepare this delicious chocolate plum cake!
Ingredients
- 300 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla sugar or vanilla essence
- 5 eggs
- 40 g cocoa powder
- 375 g flour
- 4 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 5 tablespoons milk
- 100 g of large strawberries
- For the chocolate cream:
- 150 g dark fondant
- 130 ml of whipping cream
Method
- Put the softened butter in a bowl, add the sugar, vanilla sugar and salt and beat with an electric whisk until blended.
- Add the milk and the eggs one by one, beating until they are blended in.
- Sift the flour with the baking powder and cocoa and add to the mixture into two halves. Pour into the 24 cm rectangular mould
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 55 minutes. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool.
- Heat the cream in a saucepan and pour into a bowl over the chopped chocolate . Stir until you obtain a smooth chocolate cream.
- Leave to cool until the texture is thick enough to spread with a spatula. Spread the cream over the cake and decorate with the strawberries. Tip: If you like strawberry jam, cut the cake horizontally and fill with jam. Put it together again and continue with the procedure.
