Beefburger with caramelised onions

Ingredients

  • 130g minced beef
  • 250g julienned onions
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 100ml water
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Lea and Perrins or Worcestershire sauce
  • Tabasco sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Method

  1. Caramelised onions: Put the onions, sugar, salt, pepper and water into the steam case. Close and cook in the microwave for 15 minutes at maximum power (800W), stirring occasionally and adding a little oil. Beefburgers: In a bowl, mix the minced meat with the Lea and Perrins or Worcestershire sauce and the Tabasco sauce, and knead well to ensure that the meat is fully infused with the flavours. Divide the meat into two balls and flatten them into beefburger shapes. Add the beefburgers to the caramelised onions in the steam case. Close and cook in the microwave for 2 minutes 30 seconds at maximum power (800W).
